I have been refereeing since around 2004 and in 2016 I was promoted to Level 4 and was assigned to the higher level amateur leagues. During that time I mainly officiated in the Spartan and South Midland Football League.
In 2019 I dropped back to Level 5 in order to do more “middles”. Since then the main League I officiated in was the Herts Senior County League until October 2024.

I have also officiated in the Watford Sunday League, the Beds & Herts women’s League and the Eastern Region Women’s League.

Walking football

In 2004 I joined a group playing walking football in St Margaret’s school and occasionally at Bushey Grove. Walking football is just that. No running allowed, but apart from that it’s just like 6-a-side small sided football.

I’m planning to give “normal” 11-a-side football again in my 62nd year! Watch this space… In September 2024 I joined a newly formed Veterans team, Old Salvatorians (in my case the emphasis on old)! 😉
