Statement from the Watford Area Humanists on the Attack at the Imam Hussein Foundation Centre.
The Watford Area Humanists condemn in the strongest possible terms the recent graffiti attack on the Imam Hussein Foundation Centre in North Watford. Acts of hatred and vandalism against places of worship have no place in our community.
As non-religious humanists we stand in solidarity with our Muslim neighbours and with all those who gather at the Centre. Freedom of belief and mutual respect are essential to a peaceful and diverse Watford. We urge everyone to come together in unity, reject intolerance, and support one another in the face of prejudice.
Panos Fellas,
Chair or Watford Area Humanists

Statement regarding the knife attack at a synagogue in Manchester:
Watford Area Humanists Statement on the Manchester Synagogue Attack
We are deeply shocked and saddened by the horrific attack on the synagogue in Manchester. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and the wider Jewish community at this painful time.
An attack on a place of worship is an attack on the fundamental right of all people to gather in safety, peace, and community. As Humanists, we stand firmly against antisemitism, hatred, and violence in all its forms.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to all those affected and reaffirm our solidarity with the Jewish community. Here in the Watford area many of us have friends, colleagues and neighbours who will feel threatened in these difficult times and we offer our wholehearted support.
Panos Fellas.
Chair of Watford Area Humanists.
