1996

In September 1996 I started my new teaching job at The Purcell School for young musicians at Harrow on the Hill.

I was employed as Head of Science and Technology (although Technology was not a subject taught at the school).

I was also asked to do some tutor duties during morning practice around the school site. It basically involved going round with a register and checking that students were practicing in the rooms they were supposed to be.

1997

My first son Alexandros (Alex) was born at Chase Farm Hospital in Enfield. He kept us waiting for a few days… and then he was all tangled up, needing an emergency caeserian to be borne! A stressful but such an exciting day. He was a beautiful baby!!

This is the Lab where I taught mainly Physics until 2022.

1998

My second son, Stefanos was born at Watford General Hospital.

20 June 99

Kostas and Despo got engaged.

Family holiday to Elvden Forest, Centre Parcs. Both boys were ill during our stay there.

5 August 2001

Watford FC tour to the north of Italy.

11th September 2001

It was around lunchtime on a Tuesday that the small tv set in the staff room was showing the attacks on the twin towers in New York!

2002

3rd August, Vicarage Road at the Nigel Gibbs testimonial. The game after WIFC v Legends was Watford 0-1 Spurs.

My dad died in North Middlesex Hospital

? Flight to Cyprus for the funeral. Flight with Roula, arrived around 4am in Cyprus.

2004

The year of the Athens Olympics.

Christmas saw the devastating tsunami in SE Asia.
